Kentucky Basketball: Don’t Worry About Recruiting

Earlier today, the Kentucky Wildcats lost out on top-ranked 2016 recruit Jayson Tatum to the Duke Blue Devils. There’s no doubt that John Calipari and his coaching staff have an eye on #1 ranked Harry Giles, who is presumed to likely follow Tatum to Duke in 2016.

Before choosing Duke, Tatum had his list narrowed down to Duke, Kentucky, St. Louis, and North Carolina. Kentucky’s chances seemed slim when Calipari’s focus at Nike’s Peach Jam championships appeared to be on other recruiting targets, including Miles Bridges, a small forward playing for Huntington (W.Va.) Prep. Cal watched Giles play on both Friday and Saturday according to Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader.
