Via the men’s basketball Twitter account, the University of Kentucky announced on Friday that its annual charity basketball game will be played in Rupp Arena on August 25th this year.
Last year’s charity event was a softball game due to the renovations at Rupp, but we will see the return of many former Wildcats to Cawood’s Court in August. Proceeds from the games have normally gone to the Calipari Foundation and other charities. The first charity game came in 2012 and has been held every year since with the exception of 2014.
No rosters have been released, but John Wall, Anthony Davis, Brandon Knight, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Patrick Patterson, and DeMarcus Cousins all appear on the promotional materials.
