TAMPA, Fla. - There were no big surprises for Kentucky basketball on Selection Sunday.
The Wildcats were awarded the No. 2 seed in the East region as widely projected. Kentucky opens play in Indianapolis against No. 15 seed Saint Peters. The region, which will see second weekend games played in Philadelphia, also includes No. 1 seed Baylor, No. 3 seed Purdue and No. 4 seed UCLA.
Kentucky could face No. 7 seed Murray State in the second round if the Racers win their opening game against No. 10 seed San Francisco.
