Kentucky Baseball: Tennessee Couldn’t Stop Offense

As the Kentucky Wildcats left their post game huddle, I realized how important this win is for the Cats. Kentucky improved to 20-16, and 6-9 in SEC play with a 5-0 victory over rival Tennessee. One weird stat of the night, the Bat Cats only scored in odd numbered innings (1,5,7).

Zack Brown threw a gem for Kentucky tonight. Brown went 7.1 innings allowing only five hits while striking out four. The only down side to Brown’s performance was the four walks he allowed. As Brown was flirting with a pitch count over 110, the lefty Logan Salow was warming up in the bullpen.
