In what may have been Kentucky’s most needed win of the season, the ‘Cats had a nice bounce back performance on Friday afternoon to take down No. 3 South Carolina 7-3. A huge win over a top-five opponent after losing 10 of their last 13 games is crucial for team morale, not to mention their NCAA Tournament resume.
After playing in just 23 of Kentucky’s 43 games this season, James McCoy had his best game of the season in this one. In his first game played since April 22nd, McCoy legged out an inside-the-park home run in the second inning and made a nice diving grab in right field in the fifth inning.
