The Kentucky Wildcats baseball team was on the diamond Tuesday when they hosted Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
For the Cats, it was another successful day at Kentucky Proud Park, as they improved to 9-1 at their new home with a 6-4 win.
The game did not get off to an ideal start for the Wildcats. SIUE plated two runs off of Kentucky starter Mason Hazlewood in the top of the first thanks to RBI singles by both Peyton Smith-Cordova and Raul Elguezabal.
Kentucky cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth after a TJ Collett sacrifice fly, but SIUE would strike back.
