Kentucky Baseball (14-2) slugged its way to its 10th straight win and a series sweep as it mercy-ruled the Southern Illinois Salukis (6-10) by a score of 21-3 in seven innings on Sunday.
The story of the day was the offense, as the Cats scored 20-plus runs for the first time since 2018.
The offense got started early as leadoff man, senior Jackson Gray, started the game off with a base hit up the middle before redshirt sophomore Devin Burkes, senior Jase Felker and sophomore Émilien Pitre all walked, bringing home Gray to make the score 1-0 for the Wildcats.
