Kentucky baseball pulled off an insanely rare 7-2-6 triple play against rival Louisville

Triple plays are always cool, but it’ll be tough to top what the Kentucky Wildcats pulled off Tuesday against rival Louisville.

In the second inning with Kentucky up 5-0, Colin Lyman lined out to left field. With a runner on third tagging, left fielder Zach Reks fired home in time for the double play. Shortstop Connor Heady was alert on the play and covered third base as Louisville’s Drew Ellis tried to advance on the throw.

Heady got to the bag in time and applied the tag on Ellis to complete the rare 7-2-6 triple play.
