Kentucky is getting a head start on preparation for its Wednesday-night matchup at Vanderbilt.
With snow and sleet plowing its way through Kentucky to start the week, the men’s basketball program traveled down to Nashville Sunday afternoon, giving the team three full days to practice and get comfortable around the Vanderbilt basketball facilities.
“I was worried we wouldn’t even be able to get to Nashville,” UK head coach John Calipari said on his call-in radio show Monday evening. “I’m hearing it’s snowing in Lexington pretty hard. We left yesterday – now think about that – and we don’t play till Wednesday.
