Kentucky moved up one spot in both polls this week. The Cats came in at No. 9 in the AP Poll, and moved up from No. 11 to No. 10 in the latest Coaches Poll.
Louisville is also the new No. 1 team in the Coaches Poll, followed by Virginia, Kansas, Maryland, and Michigan. Kentucky’s opponent in the CBS Sports Classic, Ohio State, is No. 6, followed by North Carolina, Duke, and Gonzaga. That makes for a seven-spot drop in the Coaches Poll for the Blue Devils following the loss to Stephen F. Austin to go along with a nine-spot drop in the AP Poll.
