LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky football's recruiting momentum continues to pick up in the wake of an upset of Mississippi State and first appearance in the top 25 since 2007.
Three-star Northwest Mississippi Community College cornerback Brandin Echols, ranked as the No. 44 junior-college prospect in the country by the 247Sports Composite, committed to Kentucky's 2019 class Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats picked up a commitment from three-star Louisiana prep quarterback Amani Gilmore shortly after the Mississippi State win Saturday.
"Through a tough process between teams my family and I have decided It would be best for me to continue my career with Kentucky," Echols tweeted.
