Kenny Payne still an option for Knicks assistant job; potential replacement emerges

Back in July, it was reported that Kentucky Wildcats’ associate head coach Kenny Payne was in the running for an assistant job with the New York Knicks.

On Friday, Adam Zagoria confirmed that report and noted that Payne was still in the running for the job, and someone has emerged as a replacement if Payne does leave.

The potential replacement for Payne is Bruiser Flint.

Flint has more than 30 years of coaching experience and is a longtime friend of John Calipari who had Flint as an assistant during his time at UMASS.
