Coming into this offseason, it looked like Kenny Payne may not be in Lexington much longer.
After all, Payne has been a great asset for the Kentucky Wildcats since coming to UK in 2010, and many had him pegged as one of the top head-coaching candidates this year. As it turned out, Payne didn't find a good spot that he was ready to leave UK for, and now he's being rewarded for staying.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Payne is among the three UK basketball assistant coaches that have received contract extensions and subsequent raises.
