Wednesday, Horsey announced he was declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft, officially ending his Kentucky Wildcats career.
While he didn’t specifically say it, it sounds like Horsey will not play in UK’s upcoming bowl game.
Horsey has been one of the most inspirational stories in college football since arriving at UK as a class of 2018 recruit. He redshirted in his first year after undergoing open-heart surgery and went on to make a full recovery.
In 2019, the 6-foot-3, 311-pounder returned to the field and appeared in four games. The following year saw him win the 2020 Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award after starting in eight games at guard.
