While pulling five-star wing Keion Brooks away from his in-state Indiana Hoosiers, Kentucky head coach John Calipari managed to land a verbal commitment from Brooks on March 15th.
Today, Brooks made it official by inking his name to play for the Kentucky Wildcats next season, his father confirmed to Chris Fisher of 247 Sports.
The country’s 4th-ranked small forward and 13th-ranked recruit joins the unique tandem of Dontaie Allen and Kahlil Whitney at the position, which hints that Calipari could utilize one of the three at shooting guard in bigger lineups while also spreading them out in small-ball lineups, especially with Jemarl Baker Jr.
