INDIANAPOLIS – Before Justin Herbert developed into a possible top-10 NFL Draft pick, he had to first beat out Kentucky quarterback Terry Wilson for the starting job at Oregon.
Herbert and Wilson both signed with Oregon as part of the Ducks’ 2016 recruiting class, but it was Herbert who became the program's first true-freshman starting quarterback since 1983.
Wilson watched from the sideline during a redshirt season as Herbert completed 63.5% of his passes for 1,936 yards, 19 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2016.
