Just Win, Baby

In 2006, the Kentucky Wildcats football team was coming off a 3-8 season. Andre Woodson was the returning starter at quarterback, though he had to beat out former Mr. Kentucky football Curtis Pulley in the offseason to retain his starting job.

Fans were nearly fed up with the program. “Ditch Mitch and Rich” bumper stickers were probably the most prevalent thing at the tailgates at the beginning of the season, maybe even more so than hamburgers, brats, and barbecue.

During that season, Kentucky had two games, against a team from the MAC and a team from the Sun Belt, that they nearly lost.
