The Tennessee Volunteers are singing the same old bowl song and dance.
Last year the Vols were going to the Music City Bowl, until Phil Fulmer pulled a dipsy-doo at the eleventh hour and made a power move to get them into the Gator Bowl. The reshuffle was more aggravating than anything. This year there’s another Tennessee bowl shuffle and this is one they cannot control. According to ESPN’s Chris Low, Tennessee will not play West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl after Jeremy Pruitt and several other coaches and players tested positive for COVID-19.
It’s just another piece of bad news for a program that is in upheaval.
