Team USA has had a hard time getting top-tier NBA talent to commit this offseason. Players like James Harden and Anthony Davis have decided not to play for their country in the FIBA World Cup.
Randle, who signed with the Knicks this offseason, spent last season with the Pelicans and the first four of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers after leaving the University of Kentucky in 2014.
Unlike the others who may’ve withdrawn just because they didn’t want injured or just craved the extra offseason, Randle, per the New York Post, isn’t playing with Team USA in order to address family concerns.
