As we reported earlier, the Kentucky Football team walked out of practice today in solidarity of the protests against racial injustice that have happened across sports following the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Defensive end Josh Paschal and offensive tackle Luke Fortner, both members of the team’s unity council, met with reporters on Zoom to discuss the walkout, which was fully supported by their coaches but criticized by some fans. Paschal admitted the backlash on social media hurt, but he and his teammates stand firm in their cause.
