Hello, and welcome to Josh Allen Sports Radio, where our sole focus these days is updating the Kentucky linebacker’s growing list of accolades. Earlier today, Nick shared Allen’s latest All-American honors from The Sporting News and CBS Sports. Turns out he was also named an All-American by ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, bringing him one step closer to a clean sweep.
“Allen was headed to FCS program Monmouth in 2015 until the Wildcats offered a last-minute scholarship,” Schlabach writes. “He’ll leave Kentucky as one of the most decorated defensive players in school history. A former two-star recruit, Allen was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, won the Bronko Nagurski and Bednarik awards, and was runner-up for the Butkus Award.
