Kentucky All-SEC junior outside linebacker Josh Allen decided to return to the Wildcats and not enter the NFL Draft. Projections for Allen have varied from the first through the fifth round. Returning for his senior season is the right move. While excelling as a pass rusher, Allen could utilize an extra year to add strength and weight in order to improve his professional status in next year’s draft.
Along with earning First Team All SEC honors by PFF, Josh Allen was named as a Mid-Season All-American. He finished 2018 with 65 total tackles, 7.5 QB sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception.
