After spending a year with the Cleveland Browns, Joker Phillips is returning to the college ranks. The former Kentucky coach is joining Urban Meyer’s staff at Ohio State. According to WKYT, Phillips will not be a formal assistant, acting as an advance scout.

It will be Phillips’ third stop since he was let go as Kentucky’s head coach. Before going to the NFL, he spent a year on Florida’s staff as the wide receivers coach for Will Muschamp, encouraging elite athletes to “Come Play WR for the Joker” before running into NCAA violations.
