This isn’t the waiver news you’ve been waiting for, but the NCAA has granted Johnny Juzang eligibility for the 2020-21 season at UCLA. Jon Rothstein was first to report the news on Twitter.
Juzang announced he was leaving Kentucky in late March following a freshman season in which he averaged 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 28 games. He chose UCLA in part because it’s 15 minutes from his home in Los Angeles, which could be one reason the NCAA granted his waiver. He will face his old team on December 19 when Kentucky takes on UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic.
