Success in recruiting for Mark Stoops’ program starts in the state of Kentucky. With the help of Vince Marrow, the Wildcats had plenty of success in 2020.
The first domino to fall came from the city of Louisville. John Young committed to Kentucky last April and quickly became one of the more vocal prospects in the recruiting class. Before Early Signing Day he was joined by Louisville Male wide receiver Izayah Cummings, Lexington Catholic quarterback Beau Allen, North Hardin defensive tackle Octavious Oxendine and Bowling Green defensive back Vito Tisdale.
“It’s really been great,” he said. “I know all of those guys from Louisville from growing up through elementary school, middle school, playing with those guys.
