Kentucky coach John Calipari's postgame news conference after win over Vanderbilt. Jon Hale, Louisville Courier Journal
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As Kentucky and Vanderbilt players headed to their respective locker rooms at halftime Tuesday, the feelings on each bench could not have been more different.
The Wildcats had scored 33 of the final 38 points in the half to take a commanding 45-15 lead in what ended up an 87-52 victory.
No player could have been more excited about the performance than sophomore forward PJ Washington, who had outscored the Commodores by himself and already clinched his second straight double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the first half.
