LEXINGTON – John Calipari knew his team would have to learn to play without bruising forward Reid Travis after the Stanford graduate transfer sprained his knee just more than two weeks ago.
He did not anticipate it would have to learn to play without Travis’ frontcourt partner, star sophomore forward PJ Washington, as well.
“We’re trying to play without our best player and with Reid out too,” Calipari said on his radio show earlier this week. “Come on, how the heck are we surviving in a league on the road where it’s difficult?
