John Calipari is never one to shy from being unconventional.
Heck, Calipari has assembled an unconventional roster heading into the 2017-18 season. It’s a roster loaded with length, athleticism and depth in the frontcourt, particularly at forward.
Seemingly everyone on the roster is capable of playing 2-3 positions. Hamidou Diallo could easily play shooting guard or the wing. Kevin Knox is versatile enough to play at the 2, 3 or even be a starting 4.
What about Shai Alexander? Listed as a combo guard in most recruiting services, Alexander has the tools to play the 1-3 spots, especially in Calipari’s positionless offense.
