LEXINGTON — John Calipari's replacement for Jai Lucas on his Kentucky basketball coaching staff is the same coach who replaced Lucas at Texas when he left for UK.
UK is hiring Oklahoma associate head coach K.T. Turner to fill the vacant spot on Calipari's staff created when Lucas left Lexington for a job at Duke in April, according to a report from The Athletic. Turner spent one season on Porter Moser's Oklahoma staff after one year at Texas, where he previously replaced Lucas.
Prior to his stint at Texas, Turner spent seven seasons at SMU, where he worked for Calipari's close friend Larry Brown.
