It was reported last week that star Kentucky freshman Skal Labissiere was going under a NCAA review to determine if he would be eligible once the season rolled around. While no results have come from the review, head Kentucky basketball coach, John Calipari, is fairly confident that Labissiere will be able to play.
“Everything is good to go,” Calipari told The Courier-Journal before referring back to the school’s policy not to comment on a player’s eligibility until the first game. “Every year we’ve been here, players go through the review. You won’t believe this: it’s always the best players that get the review.
