Kentucky coach John Calipari is in favor of the NBA's latest move to end its one-and-done draft rule. Jon Hale, Louisville Courier Journal
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The end of the NBA's one-and-done draft rule is closer than ever, and the college basketball coach who has benefited from it more than any other is happy.
"If they're out of high school and they can go directly to the NBA and be drafted and get millions of dollars from the NBA, I'm for it 100 percent," Kentucky coach John Calipari said Friday.
In his first nine years at Kentucky, Calipari coached 23 one-and-done NBA draft picks, by far the most of any program in that span.
