As expected, Ashton Hagans’ behavior in Tuesday night’s loss to Tennessee was a major topic of John Calipari’s press conference. When asked, Calipari chalked up the bad body language and arguments between players in the second half to the emotions of a young team.
“Heat of the moment. Some of that stuff, they’ve gotta – this one, when you coach young kids, this is what pops out sometimes. And you won’t believe this, I get emotional, so I don’t mind when other people get emotional. I get it.”
In the second half, Calipari and Hagans were spotted arguing on the bench after Cal asked him to go in and the sophomore guard refused.
