Back in February, the NCAA announced it would be considering a move that would allow for athletes to transfer to a school of their choosing and compete right away, if adopted by the Division I Council.
And today, Kentucky head coach John Calipari said he is hearing the NCAA will approve the rule for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year.
“I think the biggest impact will be this transfer rule where you can transfer without penalty” Calipari said during this morning’s SEC Teleconference. “Now, I’ve coached at all different levels. If they go with it, which I hear they are, it doesn’t hurt Kentucky.
