As a surprise to some walk-on and son of head coach John Calipari, Brad Calipari entered his name into the transfer portal Wednesday.
The younger Calipari redshirted last season and graduated from UK to ensure two more years of NCAA eligibility.
Via the Courier-Journal, Brad admitted it’s been something he’s thought about for a while now.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a while,” Brad said. “With where I am in my basketball career and with what I plan to do academically, this just made the most sense. I plan to remain around my brothers and continue to work on my game.
