Jimmy Dykes gave his thoughts on the current NIL and transfer portal models that are being utilized in college athletics (aka the wild west) this afternoon on social media.
“It’s straight up pay for play. It’s not NIL,” Dykes said. “It’s now pro sports and should be treated as such with contracts, and those contracts should be public knowledge like coaches contracts and all other professional athletes…You can be hired, you can be fired. It’s called the real world.”
