Kentucky's Jemarl Baker talks about 2018-19 basketball team Matt Stone, Louisville Courier Journal
LEXINGTON, Ky. – There may be no player in recent Kentucky basketball history with more mystery surrounding him entering his second year on campus than redshirt freshman guard Jemarl Baker.
Baker escaped the usual blinding spotlight pointed at UK’s recruiting targets by not emerging as a Wildcat target until late in his senior year, well after his stint on the AAU circuit had ended, then sat out his entire freshman season with a knee injury. Swelling in that knee prevented him from playing in the Wildcats’ August exhibition games in the Bahamas.
