Former Cat Jemarl Baker got some good news today. According to ESPN, Baker has received a waiver to play immediately this season at Arizona. The reason for the waiver was not specified, but according to the Arizona Daily Star, Baker may have applied for it based on how often he was injured at Kentucky.
Baker, who announced his transfer to Arizona on May 14, averaged 2.3 points and shot 31% from three in 9.1 minutes per game in 2018-19. Now with the West Coast Wildcats, he will help offset the loss of Brandon Williams, who underwent knee surgery in August.
