Jefferson County Public Schools will allow competition in basketball and other winter sports beginning on February 1.
The JCPS Board of Education voted 5-2 earlier tonight in favor of allowing winter athletes to begin full practices Wednesday and competition in two weeks.
The meeting wasn’t without some strong opinions both ways:
Chris Kolb said he wants kids to return to sports but “the science just doesn’t support it. … If your friend jumped off a bridge, would you jump off it, too?”
