In a postgame interview with Scott Van Pelt, Jay Bilas dogged Kentucky’s start to the season.
While acknowledging Kentucky’s youth, Bilas talked about how much room for improvement exists for this Wildcats squad. “Kentucky played a lot better than I expected,” he said to start off his comments on the Wildcats. He went on to say that Kentucky “didn’t play well” against Utah Valley and Vermont, therefore they exceeded his expectations against Kansas.
Bilas pointed out some weaknesses he’s seen this season, namely shooting and rebounding; both areas in which Kentucky has already improved tremendously this season.
