Mark Stoops will have to wait a little longer than expected to get one of his defensive linemen on campus. Javon Provitt, a three-star defensive tackle from Stoops’ 2015 class, told the Herald-Leader he is heading to junior college to get his grades straight before beginning his career as a Wildcat.
Provitt will attend Lackawanna College for a year and a half with intentions of being enrolled in Lexington for Spring 2017.
“It’s basically because my test scores are low,” he explained to Ben Roberts.
Lackawanna College is in Scranton, Pennsylvania, about 300 miles east of Provitt’s hometown in northern Ohio.
