The Kentucky Wildcats continued their eight-game road trip with a non-conference pit stop in Nashville as they battled the Lipscomb Bisons.
There, the Cats picked up their fifth road win of the season and improved their non-conference record to 15-5 by defeating Lipscomb by a score of 6-2.
Offensively the Cats were held scoreless by Bisons starter Adam Stewart for four innings but were finally able to push runs across in the top of the fifth inning as Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run double to put the Cats up 2-0.
Lipscomb would cut the lead in half in the bottom half of the fifth after Cade Sorrells hit a solo home chasing starter Dillon Marsh out of the game, but Cole Ayers was to come in relief and hold the Kentucky lead at 2-1.
