Kentucky football may have found its bellcow running back of the future.
UK added a commitment to its 2023 recruiting class Friday evening, when Jamarion Wilcox pledged to the Wildcats over national powers Ohio State, Clemson and Auburn.
Although it's too early to say how important Wilcox will be to head coach Mark Stoops, returning offensive coordinator Liam Coen and incoming transfer quarterback Devin Leary as a freshman, his arrival potentially fills an important hole in the roster in the years to come.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound senior from South Paulding High School in Douglasville, Georgia, will step on campus in the summer as a potential long-term replacement for NFL draft prospect Chris Rodriguez, who finished his career with the third-most rushing yards in UK history.
