For the third night in a row, Jamal Murray had the internet buzzing. Murray came off the bench in the first half to score eight quick points and finished with fourteen (67% shooting) in Canada’s 96-76 win over Mexico. Murray played 25 minutes, the most of any player, also contributing five rebounds, two assists, five turnovers and two steal.
The commentators said Murray’s coaches were telling him to focus on creating shots for others tonight and he did a pretty good job, the most impressive play coming in the second half when he saved a ball from going out of bounds and launched it almost the entire length of the court to Brady Heslip for an easy bucket.
