Jamal Murray has announced his commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats
The 6-foot-5 combo guard from Kitchener, Ontario picked Kentucky over Oregon in a live commitment that took place on Canadian TV network TSN.
Murray, rated the No. 2 shooting guard and No. 10 overall prospect in his class by 24/7 Sports, gained a lot of attention with big showings at all-star games this spring.
That included the Nike Hoop Summit, in which Murray scored 30 points and dished out five assists to lead the World Select team to a 103-101 victory over Team USA. He later registered 29 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists in the first BioSteel All-Canadian game, Canada’s equivalent of the McDonald’s All-American Game.
