Tight end Jacob Tamme took his spot in University of Kentucky lore this tonight when he was inducted into the UK Athletics Hall of Fame.
Tamme is a Danville, Kentucky native who played for the Cats From 2004-07. In his college career, he hauled in 1,417 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
In his senior year, Tamme caught a career-high 619 yards and six touchdowns. That season, he also helped the Cats take down the No. 1 ranked and eventual national champion LSU Tigers by catching a touchdown in the 43-37 win.
Tamme went onto be a fourth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2008 NFL draft.
