On this morning’s Leach Report, Jacob Tamme expressed how he really felt about the targeting call on Kentucky’s T.J. Carter for Carter’s helmet-to-helmet contact with Florida backup quarterback Kyle Trask. Like you and me, Tamme was LIVID over the penalty call and the injection/suspension that came with it, and he doesn’t sound like he has calmed down since Saturday night.
The former Wildcat tight end called in to Tom Leach’s show Thursday morning to share his unfiltered thoughts about the rule, and the need for change.
“Something has to be done about that targeting call,” Tamme told Leach, “and I’m not sure that I’m going to be the one to do anything about it, but if we get enough people talking about it, the conversation has to be had.
