Yesterday, former Cat Jacob Tamme announced he is retiring from the NFL. The Danville native spent nine years in the pros with the Indianapolis Colts, the Denver Broncos, and, most recently, the Atlanta Falcons.
“I’ve been retired in my own mind for a while now and have resisted the idea of making a ‘statement,’ but I do want to thank some people publicly, so here goes,” Tamme wrote on Twitter, thanking his coaches and teammates at the high school, college, and the pro levels. He gave special thanks to fellow Cat Wesley Woodyard.
