WATCH: Recap of Kentucky's loss, NCAA tourney thoughts Matt Stone and Dominique Yates and Jon Hale and Gentry Estes, Louisville Courier Journal
As expected, at least after Saturday’s loss to Tennessee, Kentucky did not get a No. 1 seed. Neither did Tennessee, as it turned out.
The Wildcats won’t get to play in nearby Columbus, Ohio – or have a chance to play their regional in Louisville. The Vols received both treats. (Now maybe that was because of Saturday’s SEC semifinal, but something tells me the NCAA committee was never going to be OK with a second-seeded Kentucky being given the advantage of playing a regional at the KFC Yum Center).
