The UK football team picked up a big commitment today. Isaiah Gibson, a defensive tackle from Ohio, selected the Kentucky Wildcats to be his destination next season, according to Reggie Wilson of FOX 45:
Gibson recently trimmed his list of schools to three. In it, he included the Cats along with the Purdue Boilermakers and Wisconsin Badgers. Gibson visited Purdue for a second time just a couple weeks ago, but Jeff Brohm’s final push obviously wasn’t enough to bring Gibson to West Lafayette.
Among the other schools who had offered Gibson included the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, West Virginia Mountaineers, Syracuse Orange, Louisville Cardinals, Michigan State Spartans and Maryland Terrapins among others.
