If you’re looking at reasons to be concerned for Thursday night’s matchup against 13-seed Stony Brook, Jameel Warney might be it. The 6’8″ 260 lbs. forward won his third straight America East Player of the Year award last week, and in the America East tournament final, scored 43 points to push Stony Brook past Vermont into the NCAA Tournament. It turns out Warney went to Roselle Catholic, the same high school as Isaiah Briscoe, and Briscoe told Calipari he’s “a beast.”
“They’ve got another big that shoots off the ball,” Calipari said on today’s SEC Coaches Teleconference.
